Clairseoirí Mhuigheo

Harpers of Mayo

Are you considering a wedding in Ballintubber Abbey, Knock or elsewhere?

Are you organising a tour of the West of Ireland?

Are you launching a new product?

Are you holding a reception/conference in a castle?

Perhaps you are looking for some traditional Irish music. If so look no further, Gráinne, Niamh and Róisín (and others with fiddles and flutes if necessary) are available to play for you.
BHO and Chieftains
They all play harp and concertina and are members of Clairseoirí na h-Eireann (the Irish harpers association) founded in 1985 by Janet Harbison. They are also members of the Belfast Harp Orchestra.

What kind of events will they play for?

Gráinne, Niamh and Róisín

What kind of music will they play?

Where will they play?

In and around County Mayo within 50 miles of Claremorris. This will cover Counties Galway, Sligo, Roscommon and parts of Leitrim and Clare.

Gráinne has a BMus from Queens University, Belfast and is a qualified traditional music teacher having been awarded her TTCT (diploma in teaching traditional Irish music awarded by Comhaltas Ceoltoirí Eireann). Gráinne was the harper on the Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Eireann Tour of USA and Canada 1996

Gráinne plays two tracks on the CD 'The Art of Harp' produced by Rüdiger Oppermann.

The 5Khz 8bit AIFF or WAV files save download time but the quality of sound isn't good. The11 Khz 8 bit AIFF or WAV are twice the length but still not CD quality. In either case the quality of playing shines through.

Check out 'The Art of Harp' page for more information including how to order this CD.
