Festival
The Festival held in honour of the famous Harper and
composer Turlough O'Carolan includes Concerts, Set Dancing
Céilís, Harp Recitals, Lectures and Music
sessions.
Harpers and traditional musicians world wide are now
coming in big numbers to Keadue for the August Bank Holiday
Festival.
Artists
The following are some of the Artists who have performed
at the Festival over the years: The Chieftains, Sean Keane,
De Dannan, Altan, Archady, Dervish, Stocktons Wing, Maire
Ní Chathasaigh and Chris Newman, Belfast Harp
Orchestra, Gráinne Yeats, Dordán, Mary Black,
Sharon Shannon, Frances Black, Laurie Riley, Michael Bean,
Therese Honey, Harper Tasche (USA), and Birkin Tree.

- 8.30pm: Informal Traditional Music Session with Liam Purcell & Friends followed by Address of welcome in St Ronan's Hall.

- 10.30am: Harp Workshop. Set Dancing

- 3.00pm: Ceili Dancing Class with Tutor Mary Conboy.

- 9.00pm: Concert in Keadue Church featuring former festival senior prize winner, Harper from Scotland - Catriona McKay with Chris Stout on Fiddle
- 10.00pm: Céili with Glenside Céili Band

- 3.30pm: Music Session in Heritage Park by Lough Allen Ceoltóirí
- 4.00pm: Official Opening of Festival by the President of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Eireann, Mr Seamus McCormack
- 4.30pm: Traditional Music and Song with re-union visit of Shebeen
- 6.30pm: Music Session - featuring Liam Purcell & Friends

- 11.00am: Visit and laying of wreath at O'Carolan's grave
- 12.00 noon: Lecture in Kilronan Castle entitled "Patrick Moran, Crossna - His contribution to Irish Freedom" given by Miss May Moran, niece of Patrick Moran
- 2.00pm: Arigna Tour - to the Arigna Mining Museum & Windfarm
- 4.30pm: Music & Song on the outdoor stage with Fiddler's Green
- 7.30pm: Traditional Irish Music and Door Dancing
