O'Carolan Harp Competitions Keadue, County Roscommon, Ireland Monday August 4th 2008 euro2500 Prize Fund       Senior Competition First Prize - Crystal Trophy and euro600 Sponsored by Arigna Fuels Ltd Competition Programme 10.30am: Competition for Novices (Players studying Harp for less than 2 years) 11.30am: Harp Competitions Under 12, 12 - 15 2.30am: Harp Competitions 15 - 18, Followed by Senior (over 18), Followed by Song and Harp Accompaniment Open Categories and Requirements Novice - For people studying the Harp for less than 2 years Separate Open competitions will be held for the following age groups: Under 12, 12 -15, 15 -18. Competitors in these categories, including novice, will be required to perform one O'Carolan Piece of music and one of own choice Senior (over 18) - Two O'Carolan pieces of music and one of own choice Song with Harp Accompaniment - Two songs of competitor's own choice, open to all age groups Novice Competitors are not excluded from entering Open Competitions in their own age groups Entry Fees Novices, U-12, 12 - 15, Song with Harp Accompaniment - euro4; 15 - 18 - euro5; Senior euro7.
